We then head towards the picturesque Lake Kournas, the only natural freshwater lake in Crete. Its clear waters and peaceful atmosphere create an ideal environment for relaxation and an escape into nature.
During your stay of approximately 2 hours, you can walk around the lake, enjoy a coffee or lunch at the lakeside cafés and restaurants, or try pedal boating, a particularly popular activity among visitors. The area is also home to various species of birds and small turtles, offering a wonderful backdrop for photographs and a connection with nature.
After completing our visit to the lake, we continue our journey towards the beautiful city of Rethymno.
