Preveli beach & Rethymno
The tour departs from your hotel at a suggested time of around 09:00 in the morning. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of driving through the beautiful Cretan landscape, we arrive at the impressive Kourtaliótiko Gorge, one of the most spectacular natural attractions in Crete.
There you will have approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time to explore the gorge. You can visit independently or, by prior arrangement, with the accompaniment of a professional guide (at an additional charge). During your exploration you will have the opportunity to see the small natural waterfalls and crystal-clear pools that form within the gorge, a unique natural landscape offering exceptional opportunities for photography and a connection with nature.
We then head towards the beautiful Preveli Beach, one of the most distinctive destinations on the southern coast of Crete. To reach the beach, you will need to descend a scenic path of approximately 10 minutes. This short walk is absolutely worth it, as at the end you will be greeted by the impressive palm forest and the river that flows into the sea, creating an exotic landscape of unique beauty.
There you will have 3 to 4 hours of free time to enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters, relax on the beach and explore the natural landscape of the area. The river that flows through the palm forest creates small oases of shade and coolness, ideal for a short stroll through nature.
After completing the visit to the beach, we return along the same path and continue our journey. Our next stop, approximately 30 minutes later, is the beautiful city of Rethymno.
In Rethymno you will have approximately 2 hours of free time to explore the atmospheric old town. Walk through the picturesque alleyways with their striking Venetian and Ottoman architecture, take beautiful photographs, browse the local shops and enjoy a coffee or a meal at one of the traditional restaurants in the area.
After completing our time in Rethymno, we begin the return journey to your hotel, with a drive of approximately 1 hour, bringing to a close a day filled with beautiful scenery, natural landscapes and authentic experiences from Crete.
